Job Responsibilities

As an Electromechanical Systems Designer, you will be responsible for the design and development of electro-mechanical components for thermal imaging and video camera vision systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing power and switching mechanisms, motion/motor control, and sensing devices;
  • Developing advanced motion control systems, including PID controller tuning;
  • Integrating and optimizing feedback systems for enhanced accuracy and responsiveness;
  • Providing engineering support to operations, project proposals, and business development;
  • Collaborating with engineers, customers, and vendors to provide design input;

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, plus four (3) years of directly-related experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience;
  • Knowledge of motion controls, including electro-mechanical applications and programming;
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications;
  • Experience in electro-optical sensor systems, electro-mechanical controls, PID controllers, testing and data analysis, and systems integration on moving platforms;
