Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychologist I to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our mental health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological services to our patients.
Job Summary:The Psychologist I will be responsible for conducting psychological evaluations, individual and group therapies, and providing input into the psychological factors and recovery needs of patients. You will also provide staff training in the development of psychoeducational groups and classes, and serve on committees throughout the facility as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer and interpret psychological tests and conduct diagnostic assessments
- Provide individual or group therapy for the adult acute psychiatric population and/or other specialty populations
- Oversee the design and implementation of special recovery programs
- Direct psychological activities and programs
- Develop and plan training programs
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of psychological/personality theory and severe and persistent mental illness. You will also need to have knowledge of administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests, including personality and intellectual instruments. Additionally, you will need to have clear and concise communication and interpersonal skills, as well as therapeutic skills in individual and group therapy.
