Role Summary:

The Racquet Sports Instructor is responsible for delivering exceptional service to members and guests. This role involves organizing tennis clinics and private lessons to promote engagement in club activities. The instructor will also advocate for tennis memberships and serve as the club's representative to elevate its value. This position reports directly to the Director of Racquet Sports or Head Racquet Sports Professional.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist members with all tennis-related inquiries and ensure adherence to club policies.
  • Conduct private and group tennis lessons and drills.
  • Plan, manage, and promote leagues, tournaments, and other tennis events.
  • Develop and market tennis clinics and programs for various age groups.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new members regarding tennis facilities and offerings.
  • Maintain the tennis courts to ensure a safe and professional environment.
  • Maximize the use of tennis facilities to enhance member retention and attract new members.
  • Ensure daily tasks are completed to meet club standards and expectations.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding service without direct supervision.
  • Address member and guest complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Interact with members and guests in a professional manner, accommodating requests as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Flexibility to perform various tasks as required by the club's operations.
  • Participation in club events and tennis committee meetings.
  • Adherence to all operational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills with proper grammar.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safe working practices in all areas of the club.
  • Attendance at daily team meetings and participation as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with club uniform standards.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Racquet Sports Instructor.
  • Preferred: College degree.
  • Required: USPTA certification and tennis instruction training.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
