POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare meals according to the specified dietary requirements of residents, adhering to community protocols and food safety regulations, under the guidance of the Food Service Director. Additional duties may be assigned by community representatives. Compliance with health, sanitation, and infection control policies is essential, as well as maintaining the standards set by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles is required. Must comply with state-specific food handler training requirements.
- Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrated capability to execute verbal and written directives.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff.
- Adherence to proper safety and sanitation practices is necessary.
- Availability to work scheduled hours as per the role's requirements.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.
Experience:
- Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not essential.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Available Positions: Full-Time and Part-Time (one position available)
