We are seeking a skilled Pulmonary Function Specialist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing pulmonary function testing, troubleshooting equipment, and providing patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pulmonary function testing, including spirometry, plethysmography, and diffusion studies.
- Develop and deliver asthma and allergy patient education programs.
- Assist with clinic visits, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and reviewing medications.
- Provide training and support to non-RT staff on pulmonary function testing methods.
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Completion of a 2-year AMA-approved respiratory care program or equivalent.
- Registry eligibility with the National Association for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
