Job Summary:

The Bizzell Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our building and center grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize restrooms, bathrooms, and other areas using established practices and procedures.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, including cleaning, dusting, and wiping furniture, sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming floors, and emptying and cleaning wastebaskets and trash containers.
  • Setup and Event Support: Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, and events.
  • Floor Care: Strip, clean, buff, and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum, and shampoo carpets.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, including buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high-pressure washers, high-speed buffers, and vacuums.
  • Security and Safety: Lock and unlock assigned buildings, secure buildings when facilities are not in use, check for unlocked doors and windows, report any unauthorized occupants, and turn off lights.
  • Chemical and Supply Management: Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies, and use as directed.
  • Emergency Response: Attend to emergencies when necessary.
  • Professional Development: Attend safety meetings and other related meetings, and take classes as required in cleaning methods and techniques, new products, First Aid, CPR, and working relationships.
  • Recycling and Inventory Control: Handle recycling materials and assist with inventory control and security.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Demonstrate professional interpersonal skills when interacting with others, abide by The Bizzell Group's Healthy Workplace Environment policy, and act as a team player and build professional relationships with coworkers to achieve goals.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and standards, and three to six months of related experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid State Driver's License.
