Traveling Service Technician

Position Title: Traveling Field Technician

Compensation: $24/hour plus overtime for hours exceeding 40 per week.

Work Location: Tulsa, OK (Candidates must be prepared to travel within a one-hour radius and occasionally use their personal vehicle)

Contract Duration: 4-5 months

Work Schedule: This role involves travel and is expected to require 45-55 hours of work weekly.

*Typical Weekly Schedule Overview*


• Monday/Tuesday – Technicians commence work at 6 AM (arrival at the location the previous evening) and will engage in 12-hour shifts for the conversion of store #1.


• Wednesday – Technicians will travel to the subsequent store, potentially working 2-5 hours.


• Thursday/Friday – Technicians will start at 6 AM and will work 12-hour shifts for the conversion of store #2.


• Saturday - There may be a requirement for 1-2 hours of work on Saturdays to prepare for the upcoming week, but this will always be local to the warehouse.

Provided Benefits:


• Stipend for accommodations, meals, fuel, tools, etc.


• Company vehicle

Job Responsibilities:

As a Field Technician, you will travel to designated retail convenience store locations in Tulsa, OK, and select areas throughout Oklahoma. Your responsibilities will include the physical setup and configuration of hardware within stores, involving various IT equipment such as POS systems, self-service kiosks, credit card terminals, and computers.

Qualifications and Skills:


• A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report.


• Capability to drive for extended periods and comfort with travel, including occasional overnight stays in Oklahoma.


• Experience in hardware installation and basic wiring.


• Reliability in attendance and punctuality, along with strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities (verbal, written, and electronic).


• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and repair.


• A positive and proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Prior experience in commercial hardware installation.


• Background in the retail gasoline/convenience store sector.


• CompTIA certifications.
