Senior Staff Software Engineer

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy and vision of our organization, driving innovation, and delivering exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities:- Architect, design, build, and ship software that boosts user productivity
- Supply technical leadership and leverage best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs
- Develop new strategies to improve internal processes and implement optimal solutions through technology and tool sets
- Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity
- Provide technical leadership to other members of the team and across the broader R&D Organization through championing engineering best practices, providing technical mentorship, and embodying LinkedIn's values day-to-day
- Advocate for raising and upholding the standards of product health and reliability through enhanced validation
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm-related solutions
- 5+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, C#
- 2+ years of experience in an architect or technical leadership position
- BS and 10+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 8+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience architecting and launching large complex projects
- Experience in data governance, data engineering, data lakes, and data warehouses
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and common deployment models and infrastructure
- Experience designing and building applications infrastructure, understanding application validation and debugging methodologies at scale
- Experience with strategic planning, executing on a long-term roadmap, team development, and scaling processes to support business growth
- Experience leading by influence, formulating, and driving technical strategies across various organizations
- Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in architecture, including performance, stability, and usability

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $171,000 to $280,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
