About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Semiconductor Product Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS). This is a key contributor opportunity where you will utilize and expand your expertise in semiconductor processing, metrology, and failure analysis, as well as your strong statistical analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio product management of RVS Production Space Programs, including maturation of manufacturing and technology readiness, semiconductor wafer and Sensor Chip Assemblies (SCA) processing, stakeholder collaboration, and project management experience.
  • Developing advanced SCAs utilizing single and dual color HgCdTe/HCT, III/V (InSb, InGaAs, SLS, nBn and others) semiconductors detector technologies, including detector design, process development, manufacture and test of SCAs at the RVS Goleta wafer/SCA fabrication facility.
  • Increasing manufacturing and technology readiness levels and driving key technical decisions regarding design and processing techniques.
  • Developing talent to facilitate parallel efforts while working closely with Integrated Product Team Leads/Program Managers to ensure engineering requirements are defined and understood, risks/opportunities are managed, and schedules/budgets are met.
  • Preparing technical justification analysis reports and presenting to Engineering and Program Review Boards in a customer-facing role.
  • Actively leading and driving proposal efforts and working with business development and PMO to advance our customer base.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM degree in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Or an advanced degree and 5 years of related experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of HgCdTe, III/V semiconductor or micro-bolometer (uncooled) detector physics, wafer processing in a cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to understand and analyze data related to semiconductor device performance.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Understanding of Process Yields and Analysis.
  • Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Experience.
  • Familiarity and experience with device design and modeling instruments such as MATLAB.
