LHH is seeking an experienced insurance defense litigation attorney for a long-term contract assignment for a well-established law firm in the Houston area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents, maintaining their own case load, and providing strategic legal analysis, as well as appearing in court for various hearings.
Responsibilities:- Maintain and handle all phases of litigation case load with little supervision, ensuring progress for clients.
- Analyze and issue spot to ensure effective case management.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, and respond to initial pleadings and discovery.
- Attend hearings and trials, and defend depositions.
- Other duties as assigned by the law firm.
- JD, Active Bar License.
- 4+ years of litigation experience in Texas State Courts.
- Excellent written communication skills, with experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery, drafting and arguing motions, and defending depositions.
- Strong research skills and technology proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in insurance coverage, insurance defense, or commercial litigation matters preferred.
