We are seeking a highly skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art computerized tomography equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic procedures, including CT scans, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and use high-speed, pressurized injection equipment as needed.
- Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
- Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Interact with patients and other care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures.
- Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using CT equipment.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked, and maintain infection control standards.
- Accurately code and enter charges for procedures.
- Adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to meet individual needs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's core values.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
- 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years preferred.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT.
- Current state licensure and BLS certification required.
