Lending Professional

Southwest Missouri Bank is seeking a skilled Lender to join our team. As a Lender, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, structuring and underwriting loans, and maintaining an existing portfolio. This role will involve preparing and servicing consumer and real estate loans, as well as cross-selling other applicable bank products and services.

• Business Development: Originate loans in the branch by taking applications and interviewing prospective customers.
• Credit Analysis: Analyze appropriate credit information and make credit decisions in compliance with bank policy and within defined credit authority.
• Loan Closing: Close loans according to established guidelines.
• Loan Collection: Work directly with loan collection area in efforts to collect on past due loans.
• Sales and Cross-Selling: Sell and cross-sell bank products and services to personal and business customers, either directly or through referrals.
• Customer Service: Assist customers with inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Community Representation: Represent the bank at various community events.
• Compliance: Comply with laws and regulations governing the lending function.
• Market Analysis: Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks to locate prospects for loans.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: One to three years of sales experience, with one to three years of prior experience in lending or a related field preferred.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent sales and customer service skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Occasional travel required.
