We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recreation Assistant to join our team at Avalon Care Center Northpointe in Spokane. As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and coordinating recreational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate leisure activities to ensure resident participation and engagement.
  • Develop and plan activity programs that accommodate residents' capabilities and preferences.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to schedule activities and meet survey requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents to inform activity planning.
  • Document resident activity assessments and plans using established processes and forms.
  • Establish relationships with community resources and serve as the facility's liaison.
  • Monitor resident behavior and communicate changes to the team.
  • Evaluate resident participation in programs and make adjustments as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with older adults and individuals with diverse needs.
  • Proficiency in English language.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate: $20.00 - $22.00.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Part-time employees receive benefits except medical coverage.
  • On-call employees are eligible for 401(k) participation.
