**Job Summary**

The mission of the Project Engineer for HVJ Associates is to ensure client satisfaction through the preparation of high-quality deliverables that meet project requirements within the project schedule, budget, and design constraints.

Main areas of responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing traffic control plans
  • Conducting engineering analyses and designing civil/transportation projects
  • Managing and contributing to project document deliverables
  • Ensuring client satisfaction through coordination and timely delivery
  • Guiding and mentoring junior staff
  • Assisting with business development

**Key Criteria/Requirements**

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with experience in traffic control plan design
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • AutoCAD design skills a plus
  • Local experience in Austin, TX a plus
  • TxDOT experience a plus
  • Ability to move into project management
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and valid right to work documents
