Speech and Language Therapist

The Maine School Administrative District #6 is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech/Language Pathologist to join our team of professionals. As a Speech/Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students develop the communication skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.

The Speech/Language Pathologist will work with students who have speech and language disorders, including those with autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental disabilities. You will assess students' communication skills, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy to help students improve their communication abilities.

• Assess students' communication skills and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide speech and language therapy to students with speech and language disorders
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans
• Communicate with students, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the support they need
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech and language therapy and participate in professional development opportunities

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology or related field
• State of Maine license as a Speech/Language Pathologist
• American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence
• Valid Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
• Experience working with students with speech and language disorders
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
