Position SummaryThe EpicCare Radiant system is a sophisticated healthcare information solution tailored for radiology departments and imaging facilities. This electronic medical record (EMR) platform empowers healthcare professionals to efficiently manage patient information, imaging outcomes, and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Registration: Oversee the registration process for radiology procedures, ensuring accurate collection of demographic data, insurance information, and pertinent medical history.
- Appointment Scheduling: Facilitate the scheduling of radiology appointments, coordinating resources and equipment availability effectively.
- Order Management: Manage the electronic ordering of radiology exams, ensuring precise capture and linkage of orders to the correct patients.
- Workflow Oversight: Support the management of workflows within the radiology department, tracking the progression of exams from scheduling through to image acquisition and interpretation.
- Image Integration: Ensure seamless integration with various imaging modalities, facilitating the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of radiology images.
- Reporting Tools: Provide radiologists with tools for image interpretation, report generation, and communication of findings to referring physicians.
- Billing Integration: Collaborate with billing systems to ensure accurate billing processes for radiology services, capturing necessary documentation for claims.
- System Interoperability: Ensure integration with other hospital systems, promoting the exchange of relevant patient information and results.
- User Support: Offer support services and training resources for users, including troubleshooting and ongoing assistance.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent clinical experience.
- Certification in informatics or relevant clinical application experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience or relevant application experience.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical information systems and data management.
- Understanding of hospital practices, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Valid professional license as applicable.
