About the Role

The Commercial Painting Specialist will be responsible for painting the interior and exterior of commercial buildings, structures, and other surfaces. This role will involve responding to work orders and having a routine schedule of work orders throughout the company's portfolio within an assigned geography area of locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Painting interior and exterior surfaces of commercial buildings, structures, and other items
  • Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, and preparing walls and other surfaces for painting
  • Filling cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g., plaster)
  • Mixing paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
  • Applying varnish and other finishes
  • Completing work orders correctly with minimal callbacks
  • Communicating in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external customers
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies, tools, and materials
  • Responsibility for maintaining company vehicles
Requirements
  • 3 or more years of commercial painting experience
  • Excellent knowledge of painting materials and how to select, mix, and apply
  • Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
  • Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.)
  • Conscientious with great attention to detail
  • Competent use of MS Office applications to include MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload
Education, Certifications, and/or Other Professional Credentials
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License required
Work Schedule
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday (6:00 PM - 2:30 AM), with 2nd shift differential & voluntary OT when available
