Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Akumin. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver radiation treatment according to written prescription and treatment plan, ensuring patient safety through consistent practice of departmental procedures.
- Provide a caring and supportive environment for patients, visitors, medical staff, and coworkers.
- Document treatment records accurately and thoroughly, recognizing deviations from prescribed treatment delivery and reporting to the Chief Therapist and/or Physicist.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff, explaining treatment procedures and responding to patient concerns.
- Perform patient simulations, collect and document data, and make recommendations to physicians.
- Assist with treatment-related procedures, including transporting patients, reviewing charts, and ordering supplies.
- Associate's degree or College/Technical Certification in ARRT Accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
- ARRT (T) certification.
- State licensure, if applicable.
- CPR certification.
- One (1) year minimum experience as Radiation Therapist.
The Radiation Therapist will work in a standard office environment, with potential exposure to radioactive isotopes, ionizing radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease. The employee must be able to have full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity, including walking, lifting, and transferring patients.
