Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering care to individuals with ongoing health issues and extended illnesses. Assisted Living and Senior Living encompass a variety of services designed to aid residents in fulfilling their daily requirements.
It is important to note that Assisted Living/Senior Living focuses on providing support with fundamental personal tasks known as Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), which include bathing, dressing, and using the restroom.
The RN/LPN will report directly to the Unit Supervisor.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide and receive comprehensive reports on all residents.
- Evaluate, plan, and execute client care effectively.
- Accurately receive and transcribe medical orders.
- Assist with physical assessments and conduct rounds for assigned clients in accordance with institutional protocols.
- Manage wound care, including the identification of Stasis Ulcers.
- Administer oxygen therapy and perform dressing changes.
- Insert and irrigate urinary catheters as needed.
- Administer and document medications meticulously.
- Collect laboratory specimens as required.
- Perform CPR and other emergency interventions when necessary.
- Support residents with Activities of Daily Living.
- Assist with transitions to physical therapy and other daily activities.
Qualifications:
- RN or LPN license in good standing.
- A minimum of one year of experience in Assisted Living, Senior Care, or Long-Term Care (LTC).
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
