The Desktop Support Analyst is essential in providing direct assistance to all personnel, ensuring prompt and effective troubleshooting of desktop hardware, software, and mobile devices while maintaining a high level of customer service and technical proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute software installations, upgrades, and various project tasks.
- Configure and assist with desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers.
- Oversee the Helpdesk system for incoming issues.
- Address urgent needs such as video conferencing setups, equipment loans, software licensing, and VIP assistance.
- Deliver remote support to offsite personnel.
- Document all issues in the Helpdesk system.
- Assess issues swiftly and professionally, taking necessary steps for resolution.
- Refer unresolved issues to appropriate team members when necessary.
- Investigate faults related to desktop applications and configurations, identifying and implementing suitable solutions.
The ideal candidate should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, a solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, and a desire to work within an IT environment. The candidate must be adept at managing multiple tasks effectively. Experience with both Windows and Mac support is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in customer support, help desk, or application support roles is preferred. This experience should include the development and adherence to IT procedures and/or work instructions.
Education and Relevant Experience:
A BS/BA degree in an information technology-related field or equivalent experience in a related area.
