Store Hygiene and Maintenance Specialist

YOUR ROLE
  • Evaluate the cleanliness and sanitation of the retail environment.
  • Ensure thorough cleaning of all customer and employee areas within the store.
  • Maintain and sanitize restroom facilities.
  • Restock restroom supplies as necessary.
  • Dust and clean all surfaces and walls.
  • Ensure all windows are spotless.
  • Wash and maintain floors, including staircases.
  • Clean and maintain elevators and escalators.
  • Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
  • Empty and clean refrigerators as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies.
  • Perform minor repairs that do not require professional assistance.
  • Notify management of any maintenance, repair, or renovation needs within the store.
  • Adhere to all operational competencies and key responsibilities.
  • Follow OSHA regulations to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays; overtime may be necessary.
YOUR SKILLS
  • Ability to walk and move around the store continuously.
  • This position requires frequent standing, reaching, bending, and maintaining balance while walking.
  • Occasional use of ladders or step stools, along with kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in both sales and stock areas.
  • Ability to push and pull equipment such as shelving units and carts, requiring up to 20 pounds of force, as well as lift and carry boxes weighing up to 30 pounds at heights of up to 131 inches while using a ladder.
  • Critical senses for this role include speaking, hearing, near and far vision, depth perception, and field of vision.
  • Environmental factors include operating foot controls for mobile shelving and working at heights.
The base pay for this position ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, plus benefits.
