Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Radiology Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing radiological MRI, CT, Diagnostic Imaging, C-Arm, or Ultrasound Imaging functions to produce high-quality images for ordering physicians and radiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients to obtain patient history and inform them about patient safety, contrast media contraindications, and patient procedures.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors in and around the MRI Suite.
  • Position patients appropriately and provide instructions related to breathing, communication, observation, and length of sequences/exam.
  • Enter required patient information accurately into the computer and select appropriate protocols, scans, and techniques in accordance with protocol within acceptable time frames.
  • Produce imaging in accordance with optimum standards for radiologist interpretation and complete archiving responsibilities on each patient.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities, including PACS duties and exam import.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities as C-arm, fluoro, CT, and procedure technology as necessary.
  • Adhere to attendance and call duties.
Requirements
  • Current CPR certification
  • Registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the State of Arkansas
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a technologist in a surgical setting or demonstrates acceptable knowledge/experience
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be exposed to environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste.

Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
