Claims Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Assistant to join our team at Alliant Insurance Services. As a Claims Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Claims Team with all clerical functions, including transcribing dictation, drafting reports, and submitting finalized reports to carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transcribe dictation and draft reports to be sent to carriers
- Submit finalized reports to carriers via email and online platforms
- Receive, confirm, and set up new claims
- Maintain positive relationships with adjusters and carriers
- Assist adjusters in clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning
- Process vendor invoices and submit payment requests to the accounting department
- Create invoices for services performed and bill clients
- Maintain and track spreadsheets of payments received and send bi-monthly reports to the accounting department
- Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two or more years of related administrative or general office experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work within a team and foster teamwork
- Ability to prioritize work for multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
