Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Assistant to join our team at Alliant Insurance Services. As a Claims Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Claims Team with all clerical functions, including transcribing dictation, drafting reports, and submitting finalized reports to carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe dictation and draft reports to be sent to carriers
  • Submit finalized reports to carriers via email and online platforms
  • Receive, confirm, and set up new claims
  • Maintain positive relationships with adjusters and carriers
  • Assist adjusters in clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning
  • Process vendor invoices and submit payment requests to the accounting department
  • Create invoices for services performed and bill clients
  • Maintain and track spreadsheets of payments received and send bi-monthly reports to the accounting department
  • Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two or more years of related administrative or general office experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work within a team and foster teamwork
  • Ability to prioritize work for multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
