About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Breast Imaging Specialist to join our team at the Carol Milgard Breast Center. As a key member of our Mammo Technologist team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in accordance with the mission statement of TRA, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for all patients.
  • Rotate shifts and work places as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare patients for mammography exams, explaining procedures and providing clear instructions to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
  • Obtain thorough patient histories, accurately implementing orders from referring physicians and producing high-quality mammograms with minimal patient exposure.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, presenting high-quality radiographs and pertinent patient history to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Utilize effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with patients, physicians, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Perform necessary computer functions associated with patient exams, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry.
  • Keep work areas and patient exam spaces clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies, maintaining a safe and organized environment.
  • Participate in orientation, staff meetings, and in-service training, staying up-to-date on the latest techniques and best practices in radiologic technology.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions, upholding the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • ARRT (R) Registry required, with ARRT (M) Registered or (M) Registry eligible.
  • Valid Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and computer information systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating respectful behavior and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and carry out instructions effectively, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
