Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facility Operations Specialist to join our Security Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring building systems, surveillance systems, and reporting any malfunctions or control problems to our supervisor and building operations technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain building systems, including mechanical, environmental, and life safety systems
  • Report any unusual occurrences or malfunctions to our supervisor and building operations technicians
  • Document daily activities, including work orders, trouble calls, logs, and miscellaneous forms
  • Answer phone calls from tenants, elevator trouble calls, building operations switchboard, and security issues
  • Communicate effectively with all departments via radio
Requirements
  • Knowledge of building systems and ability to handle pressure
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills
  • Ability to work without immediate supervision and follow instructions
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of Windows-based computer systems
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, including those who require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to listen effectively, speak, read, and write English clearly
  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for the duration of the shift
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations
  • Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions
  • Ability to work shifts as assigned
