Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

The Vertex Companies, LLC is in search of a meticulous and analytical Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to enhance our finance department.
In this capacity, you will play a pivotal role in delivering financial insights, engaging in forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning to bolster the company's financial goals.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional financial modeling capabilities, a comprehensive grasp of financial statements, and the proficiency to convey intricate financial data in an understandable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Develop and sustain financial models that facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
Examine financial performance in relation to essential business metrics and document significant financial highlights that empower management to monitor progress against budgets.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Engage in the annual budgeting cycle and periodic reforecasting initiatives, collaborating with various department leaders and the finance team.
Oversee and assess budget variances, offering insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance.
Work closely with operations in the formulation of budgets and forecasts, as well as in the follow-up of variances.
Strategic Planning & Analysis:
Contribute to the development of the strategic plan.
Facilitate strategic decision-making by performing scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and what-if analysis.
Assess the financial implications of prospective business opportunities, investments, and strategic initiatives.
Reporting & Communication:
Compile and present reports to senior leadership and operations regarding key performance indicators (e.g., utilization, conversion rates, win ratios), variance analysis, and trend analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee precise and timely financial reporting.Articulate complex financial information clearly and succinctly to non-financial stakeholders.
Maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality, ensuring sensitive financial data is managed with discretion and in accordance with company values.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and execute process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis functions.
