Job Overview

As an HVAC Tech, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, modifying, improving, and operating central heating, ventilating, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems to ensure proper functioning at all times.

Location and Hours

This role is located at Tufts Medicine TMC - 800 Washington Street - Boston, MA, and the hours of operation are days shift, 40 hours, 6:45am - 3:15pm.

Minimum Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a current HVAC/Refrigeration License, and five (5) years of experience as an HVAC Technician.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Performing installation, preventative, and corrective maintenance on a variety of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Responding to, evaluating, and rectifying problems with HVAC equipment and systems, pneumatic and digital controls, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, and other miscellaneous HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Following work orders, drawings, diagrams, other specifications, and/or verbal instructions.
  • Planning, installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining/repairing systems and/or equipment.
  • Checking completed work to ensure system/equipment is properly functioning.
  • Developing and following preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Responding to repair calls, analyzing problems, and making recommendations for and/or repairs.
  • Maintaining necessary records and reports. Requisitioning necessary equipment and supplies. Moving materials as necessary in the performance of duties or as directed.
  • Detecting and reporting improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
  • Maintaining work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • FOLLOWING SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS.
