Financial Planning and Analysis Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) professional to join our dynamic SaaS company. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate company performance and provide financial insights, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario planning regarding M&A and contingencies.
  • Analyze and assist in monthly forecasts and the development of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Prepare financial reports to management, highlighting key financial trends, variances, and insights of the business.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within the financial systems. Develop and maintain financial models, data loads, and databases.
  • Develop monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and support strategic initiatives, including sales pipeline analysis and industry benchmarks.
  • Analyze and report on cost drivers and provide recommendations for cost optimization. Ongoing analysis of revenue, cost of goods, and functional operating expenses. Provide insight into operational efficiencies.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support special projects, strategic initiatives, and business cases.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Service & Support, and Operations, to gather data and insights for financial analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling, preferably in a SaaS or technology company. Experience in a professional services firm, such as investment banking or consulting, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, advanced Excel skills, and robust financial modeling experience. Significant user experience with financial planning and ERP software, preferably NetSuite, and experience with financial planning software. Robust modeling experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, flexible, fast-paced environment. "Can do" approach and high level of commitment to delivering accurately and on time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge of SaaS metrics, including MRR, ARR, CAC, expansion, retention, churn rates, and renewal rates.
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as NetSuite or similar platforms.
  • Continuous improvement approach to improving financial processes and systems.
