Job Summary

The Senior Reporting & Data Analyst position at Cornell University is a key role in the Budget Office, focusing on data aggregation, reporting, and ensuring the integrity of financial information. This position plays a crucial part in delivering accurate and timely financial data that supports the university's strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

This role involves extracting, consolidating, and managing large datasets from various sources to develop and maintain a wide range of financial and budget reports. The successful candidate will also be responsible for validating HR data that feeds into the budgeting software, performing comprehensive data reconciliations and validations, and creating and maintaining reports and tools that enhance budgeting practices across the campus community.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience in finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They will also possess excellent organizational, forecasting, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong understanding of financial systems, including Kuali Financial System, Workday, and Longview, and experience with data visualization software such as Tableau.
