The Property Superintendent role at MRBL Management in Chicago, Illinois offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in property management to drive results. With a competitive salary range between $80,000 - $120,000 per year, this role requires a strong leader who can develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

The Property Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Managing tenant relationships to ensure prompt issue resolution and satisfaction.
  • Overseeing rent collection processes, including invoicing, payment collection, and follow-up on delinquent accounts.
  • Cooling maintenance and repair activities to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Negotiating contracts with vendors, supervising their work, and ensuring services are performed to high standards and within budget.
  • Conducting regular inspections of properties, identifying maintenance needs, and preparing inspection reports for property owners or management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Real Estate, or related field (preferred but not required)
  • 1 to 5 years of proven experience in property management and real estate management.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to property management is a bonus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software (Rent Manager and/or AppFolio) and Microsoft Office or the ability to quickly learn new software, is preferred.
