Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Financial Strategy and Compliance to spearhead our financial reporting, accounting policy, ESG reporting, and strategic investments due diligence initiatives. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and robust controls over our SEC filings, technical accounting policies, and overall accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and review of all SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy, and other required submissions. Ensure timely and accurate financial disclosures in compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX requirements.
  • Technical Accounting Policy: Provide leadership and oversight on complex technical accounting issues, guaranteeing the company's accounting and reporting policies align with regulatory requirements.
  • ESG Reporting: Collaborate with key functional leaders to develop and execute Axon's ESG reporting strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Strategic Investments Due Diligence: Oversee the evaluation and implementation of strategic investments, ensuring they align with the company's overall business objectives and financial strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 17+ years of relevant experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience within a large, complex, fast-growth environment.
  • Experience in a National Office or capital markets/transaction support at a Big 4 firm is highly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and technical accounting in key areas such as revenue recognition, business combinations, and stock compensation.
  • Proven track record of leading transformation initiatives in financial reporting and accounting functions.
What We Offer:
  • An estimated salary range of $216,000 to $324,000, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
