Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our team at Ascension. As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, review medical history, position patients, and clean/shave/numb testing sites as needed.
  • Describe and report test results, recognize recording errors and artifacts, and react promptly to any abnormal findings in patient condition.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab area, ensuring equipment is properly functioning and reporting potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly department.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Preferred Credentials
  • Advanced Life Support.
  • Approved Local Exception.
Education

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience

None required.

Additional Preferences

One year of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience. One year of recent experience as a Cardiovascular Technician. Travelers must be willing to travel 50+ miles from permanent residence.
