Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable: Ensure proper approval and documentation for vouchers before entering them into the accounting system. Prepare biweekly payments and maintain organized records.
  • Accounts Receivable: Manage monthly billing processes and maintain necessary documentation. Prepare annual financial settlements and renewal documents for contracts.
  • Journal Entries: Create journal entries for electronic transactions as reflected in monthly bank statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Administer biweekly payroll and verify the accuracy of employee timecards.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses and ensure accurate recognition of these in the accounting system.
  • Bank Deposits: Prepare deposit slips and manage the collection of checks for the organization.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare annual 1099 forms for contractors and stipend recipients.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination and recommended boosters
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience with virtual service delivery platforms
  • Bilingual proficiency in one of the designated languages

Position Details

  • Hourly Rate: $33.64
  • Employment Status: Nonexempt
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours
  • Remote work options may be available after the introductory period
