Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive preventive and therapeutic healthcare services to patients across diverse medical environments.
  • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to meet organizational objectives while managing the operational budget effectively.
  • Perform thorough physical evaluations utilizing various diagnostic techniques and tools.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks for team members to ensure timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Assess the performance of team members, offering constructive feedback and mentorship.
Employment Conditions

Selected candidates may be required to undergo a probationary period. U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite. Registration with the Selective Service is mandatory for males born after 12/31/1959. This position involves oversight of Indian children and necessitates a background check. A supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required. Immunizations for Measles, Rubella, and influenza are compulsory. COVID-19 vaccination is also required. Candidates must obtain and maintain clinical privileges within the medical staff. An E-Verify employment verification check is mandatory.

Background Investigation
If selected, candidates will need to complete a pre-employment fingerprint check and background investigation. Continued employment is contingent upon a successful background check. A credit check will also be part of the investigation process.

Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution in the United States or Canada.
  • Valid licenses or registrations as a Physician.
  • Completion of graduate training with supervised clinical experience.
Additional Requirements for Grade GS-15

  • A minimum of 5 years of graduate training in the specialty or equivalent experience.
Candidate Evaluation
Applicants may be interviewed to evaluate interpersonal skills. While residency training is essential, exceptions may be made based on peer panel evaluations.

Teaching Experience
Experience in teaching at a medical or public health institution may be considered for training positions.
