Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Heidelberg Materials. As a Mobile Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in heavy construction equipment, including cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, and other equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Assess and repair equipment damage, and rebuild or replace parts as needed.
  • Work with a team of skilled mechanics to ensure efficient and safe equipment operation.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Valid driver's license required, Class A or B CDL preferred
  • Ability to dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Experience working with heavy construction equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
