We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Assistant to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and record vital signs, height, weight, and food and fluid intake and output.
- Report abnormal findings to the RN and patient care team.
- Participate in care planning and the nursing report process.
- Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, oral care, and skin care.
- Assist patients with eating, hydration, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Employ safe patient handling techniques for basic restorative care.
- Promote a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
- Document all care in the patient record.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required
- Associate's Degree - preferred
- Previous Mental Health related experience - preferred
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Upon Hire - required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire - required
