Job Summary

This is an entry-level position that provides support to recreational programs and activities in the Town of Trophy Club. The Recreation Aide will assist in conducting and monitoring recreational program activities, preparing program areas for scheduled events, and maintaining records of participation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting and monitoring recreational program activities within assigned program areas
  • Prepare program areas for scheduled events and activities
  • Maintain records of participation and collect participant fees
  • Issue, receive, and control the use of recreational equipment and supplies
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Town procedures with respect to participant safety
  • Perform routine administrative duties such as phone and counter reception and registration processing
  • Assist with special events as needed
Requirements
  • American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification is required at time of hire and maintained throughout employment
  • Knowledge of recreation program services, operations, and activities
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to lead and conduct assigned program classes or activities
  • Ability to maintain the safety of program activities and participants
  • Ability to perform work as directed in an efficient, effective, safe, and timely manner
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments with moderate to loud noise levels. The classification supports indoor and outdoor recreation programs requiring frequent walking, running, conducting exercises, and related physical activities.
