Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Patients for Exams: Review patient history, collect vital signs, and document information in the medical record according to guidelines.
  • Address Patient Care Gaps: Identify and schedule appointments for patients with lab, radiology, consults, and follow-up appointments as ordered by the practitioner.
  • Verify Medications and Allergies: Review and update patient medications, allergies, smoking, and tobacco history.
  • Provide Intervention and Education: Administer medications, dressings, specimen collections, irrigations, suture removals, and IVs as ordered by the practitioner, and educate patients on diagnostic studies and health education.
  • Assist with Patient Flow: Manage patient traffic flow and assist with monitoring and management of patient and physician electronic messages as delegated by the RN and within scope of practice.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing (LPN/LVN) program.
  • License: Practical Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrated customer service aptitude through a Customer Service Assessment.
