About the Role

Kaiser Aluminum is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineering Lead to join our team in Spokane, Washington. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating cross-functional project teams to develop project scope and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project scope, resourcing plan, budget, and schedule
  • Prepare capital authorizations and administer engineering, equipment purchases and installation contracts
  • Coordinate and manage installations and outages, and track and report final project performance, schedule, and cost compliance
  • Review design packages and drawings for compliance with contract documents and Kaiser standards
  • Coordinate with internal Operations, Maintenance, Technical, and Engineering resources to achieve project objectives
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in BSEE or BSET is required. Minimum of 5 years previous electrical engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with functional and performance-based specification development, and knowledge of low and medium voltage electrical systems, AC/DC motors and drive systems and National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E
  • Excellent analytical skills, including knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and strong Word, Excel, MS Project skills

  • Salary range $90,000-$130,000 per year depending on experience
