Job Overview

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Travel Operating Room RN to provide expert care to patients undergoing various procedures in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scrub and/or circulating duties during surgical procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety.
  • Oversee department admissions to the operative suite, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of all surgical activities and patient records.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, manage anesthesia, and assist with surgical site preparation, adhering to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Requirements
  • BSN required
  • Valid RN license in the state of New York
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as an OR RN
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work 8-hour evening shifts
