Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and procurement payment documents.
  • Oversee the processing of budget, procurement, and/or payment documents.
  • Analyze cost, revenue, and operating expenses to ensure accurate financial management.
  • Maintain special revenue/account funds and develop, prepare, and justify budgets for small agencies or assist with budget development for large agencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Four years of increasingly complex technical administrative experience in the assigned functional area, comparable to experience at the Administrative Assistant IV or higher level.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting theories, bookkeeping, public budgeting, and grant administration.
  • Ability to interpret automated financial reports and financial policies and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze revenue and expenses and make projections.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Three years of finance-related work experience.
  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise-wide systems.
  • Strong customer service philosophy and ability to work effectively with employees at varying levels of authority.
Working Conditions

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background, a credit check, and a Child Protective Services check to the satisfaction of the employer.
