The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead the Physical Sciences Laboratories Division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and laboratory operations of this dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the Physical Sciences Laboratories Division, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead a diverse team of research scientists and engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the laboratory's research and development efforts.
- Manage the laboratory's budget and resources, ensuring effective use of funds and optimal allocation of personnel and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new research opportunities, partnerships, and funding sources.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and academia.
- Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in physical science research and/or laboratory management.
- Proven track record of leadership and management, with a strong ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific and technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
The Aerospace Corporation offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $260,000 - $340,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits program, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
