Job Title: Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at LHC Group. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide treatment and exercise instruction to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of physical therapy principles, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide physical therapy treatment and exercise instruction to patients in their homes
  • Work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct patient assessments and document progress
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in physical therapy
Requirements:
  • Current licensure, registration, or certification to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of New Jersey
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to lift and move patients as needed
