Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our team at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing exceptional customer service, managing patient interactions, and implementing service recovery techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient/Customer Interaction
    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with supervisors and fellow co-workers to serve patients and other customers to the best of their ability.
    • Be professional in all actions and appearance.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory parameters.
    • Use resources wisely, as if they were one's own.
    • Demonstrate understanding and ownership of how their role contributes to achieving the success of the Department and the Health System.

    • Patient Identification

      • Update patient information.

      • Check patients out.
    • Cash Collection
      • Collect cash payments.
    • Reconciliation and Deposit
      • Reconcile and deposit cash payments.
    • Insurance Verification Process
      • Verify patient insurance.
    • Email
      • Send and receive emails.
    • Management of Medical Records
      • Manage medical records.
    • Financial Counselor
      • Provide financial counseling.
    • Department Productivity and Goals (Site Specific)
      • Meet department productivity and goals.
    • Site Opening Function
      • Perform site opening functions.
    • Site Closing Function
      • Perform site closing functions.

    Qualifications
    • Education
      • High School Diploma required.
      • Associate's Degree preferred.
    • Work Experience
      • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
    • Licenses/Certifications
      • IDX Certification required.
      • Sunrise Billing system certification may be required.
