**Job Summary**

The Construction Inspector at Dawood Engineering Inc is responsible for ensuring that all site materials meet requirements set forth in the project documents, work zones and other safety requirements and environmental permit requirements are met, and ensure the work is documented accurately through daily reports. This person will monitor and inspect roadway municipal construction, infrastructure improvement, utility and land development projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Monitor and inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with project documents and safety regulations
  • Document daily reports and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Compute daily pay quantities and prepare field adjustment estimates
  • Inform project management of issues that arise in the field and assist in resolution as directed
  • Contribute feedback to Project Managers

**Requirements**

  • **Basic Qualifications:**
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related degree highly preferred
    • 2+ years experience in construction, civil engineering, or project management
    • Knowledgeable in PennDOT specifications and standards
    • Skill in the use of field engineering, inspection methods and materials
    • OSHA 10 Hour Safety
    • Valid Drivers' License
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • **Additional Qualifications:**
    • Knowledge of state and federal safety, environmental, and equal employment opportunity guidelines and regulations as they relate to transportation construction projects
    • PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification
    • NICET Level 2-4 in Transportation & Highway Construction
    • OSHA 10 Hour Safety
    • PennDOT NECEPT
    • ACI Concrete Field - Testing Technician
    • PennDOT Flagger Training or equivalent
