Dentist - Part-time

Evergreen Health is seeking a skilled Dentist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, including routine cleanings, exams, and procedures such as extractions and fillings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with patients to discuss and treat dental concerns, performing regular cleanings and other preventative procedures, and establish a plan for better dental hygiene
- Perform oral exams, dental surgeries, operative procedures, fabricate oral prosthetic devices, and all other necessary dental procedures required to provide patients with quality dental care
- Conduct a thorough medical record review of all patients referred to the dental practice
- Conduct diagnostic testing, including X-Rays, to diagnose oral health conditions
- Design and fit dental prosthetics, such as crowns, bridges, and dentures
- Correcting bite issues and overcrowding
- Prescribe medication as needed
- Educate patients on preventive dental care, including proper oral hygiene and importance of regularly scheduled oral health exams
- Recommend patients to dental specialists as needed for recommended procedures
- Maintains medical records relating to the oral health of the patient and the treatments provided to them
- Maintains knowledge of local, state and federal rules and regulations relative to the operations of the practice
- Provides oversight of infection control policies and procedures
- Promotes a team based, patient centered model of care through leadership and practice
- Collaborate and support team members to ensure a patient-focused approach to care
Requirements:
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine
- Licensed to practice dentistry in the state of New York
- Current BLS and CPR certifications
- Continuing education courses for new procedures and standards
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, patients, board members, vendors and other external contacts
- Ability to handle sensitive material, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and displaying sound judgment
- Proficient with computers and MS software (Outlook, Word)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Awareness of and sensitivity to the issues that underserved populations, people living with HIV, and people who use drugs face, including health disparities that affect people of color at a disproportionate rate
