Job Title: Dentist

At Neighborhood Health Center, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dentist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population, while contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote health equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to a diverse patient population, including routine check-ups, cleanings, and restorative procedures.
  • Supervise Dental Hygienists and authorized treatment, ensuring the highest level of care and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Dental Director to formulate policies and procedures that promote health equity and improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in in-services and trainings to enhance professional growth and development, staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in dentistry.
  • Share on-call coverage with other staff Dentists, ensuring seamless patient care and minimizing disruptions.
  • Adhere to universal precautions and infection control standards, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards, respecting patients' rights and dignity.
  • Stay informed about organizational emergency protocols and response, ensuring preparedness and effective crisis management.

Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited dental school, with a strong foundation in dentistry and patient care.
  • Must possess a current NYS Professional Dentist license, with a minimum of one year of experience in a general dental setting.
  • Experience working with Electronic Dental Record systems is a plus, as is the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, staff, and community partners.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $135,000-$145,000 per year, based on a full-time, 40-hour work week. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life insurance, 403b match, health savings accounts, and generous paid time off. We also offer tuition reimbursement potential, with a three-year commitment to serve at a FQHC.
