Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized guidance to students regarding the safe handling and utilization of materials and equipment.
  • Assist educators in maintaining safety protocols related to specific functional areas, such as chemical handling in science labs.
  • Support teachers by providing reference services and technical advice on curriculum implementation.
  • Develop and enforce safety procedures in accordance with school policies and applicable safety regulations.
  • Manage laboratory experiments and equipment usage under teacher supervision, offering basic instructions as necessary.
  • Design and implement basic computer systems and perform routine software development tasks.

Additional Role Information

The Educational Technology Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the observation of student activities and supporting their engagement with various technological tools, including woodworking and systems technology equipment.

Responsibilities also include cataloging equipment, ensuring the availability of necessary consumables, and verifying that machinery is regularly serviced and maintained in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Proficiency in operating basic CAD software, 3D printers, and laser cutting machines is expected.
