About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse 2 to join our team at the University of Miami Health System in Doral. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a state-of-the-art facility that serves as a western hub for our regional network of ambulatory services.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse 2 will deliver patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific patient care. The successful candidate will oversee nurses and allied health staff in their daily practice.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess assigned patients and evaluate plans to include documentation of nursing care, and reports symptoms and changes in patients' condition and vital signs.
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses, conditions and physician orders.
  • Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests to assess patient's condition.
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals related to assigned patients to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepare patients for, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (RNs hired with an Associates degree have 2 years to complete the BSN degree).
  • A Florida Registered Nurse License.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS) and Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.

This role is a full-time position with a hire date of June 2024. The estimated annual salary for this role is $83,000-$123,000, depending on experience.
