Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer II to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As a key member of our Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit, you will play a critical role in developing next-generation electronics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple small development programs with lean budgets and aggressive schedules.
  • Create and enable new cost and schedule effective execution approaches for development.
  • Understand long-term objectives for BAE-SMS and our customers and shape development work to enable future opportunities.
  • Determine the most efficient means of producing prototypes, brassboards, EDUs, and STE.
  • Ensure staffing levels are met by communicating with functional management organizations.
  • Assess risk and make risk-based decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work with multiple teams to deliver on project cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
  • Develop electronics and harnesses to quality and reliability standards for NASA, NOAA, DoD, and classified customers.
Requirements
  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 8 or more years related experience.
  • Current, active Secret security clearance.
  • Working understanding of cost and schedule management.
  • Working knowledge of requirements that lead to flight space qualified electronic programs and radiation-hardened environments.
  • Experience specifying and ordering Electrical/Electronic Engineering (EEE) parts.
  • Demonstrated results leading development teams to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
